Hello Room 2 Followers! It's been far too long since our last post. March was an incredibly busy month for us and we just didn't find the time to blog about it. Here's the short version of our month:
We were busy getting ready for our student-led conferences and preparing our portfolios. All of the kids in our class did a wonderful job of sharing their learning, explaining their thinking and celebrating their many successes.
We spent lots of time working on our community inquiry project this month. We connected with people all over the world on our wiki (http://www.outourclassroomwindow.wikispaces.com/ ). They shared information and pictures about their communities and answered some of our many questions.
We continued our work with our reading partners and book clubs... we think chapter books are awesome! We even made 2 videos about our reading workshop time.
In writing workshop, we were learning about being poets. We made a poetry anthology that we shared with our families at conferences. We'll post some samples to the blog soon... we'd love to hear what you think!
Ms. Rosney finished her student teaching term with us. We were all sad to see her go and we hope that she comes back to visit us before the end of the year!
